It will also cover disabled people’s rights after the closure of the Independent Living Fund (ILF) on the 30th June 2015 as they transfer over to their Local Authorities.
The workshop will go through guidance put together by public law solicitor Kate Whittaker in consultation with ILF users, Inclusion London and Disability Sheffield Centre for Independent Living.
It has been written to help ILF users and DDPOs to understand legal and practical issues about community care assessments and support and how it will apply to them following the closure of the ILF in June 2015.
